Comedian Lenny Schmidt has spent nearly four decades making a living performing live. Comedy clubs, theaters, cruise ships, television, film—and more than a few rooms that probably should never have had a microphone.
On **Total Schmidt Show**, Lenny sits down with the people who know that life firsthand: comedians, musicians, singers, dancers, magicians, actors, writers, and other professional entertainers he meets while traveling the world.

That's kind of the point.
**Total Schmidt Show shines a light on the working live entertainer**—the people who built real careers getting onstage, doing the work, entertaining audiences, and figuring out how to make a living in show business.
They talk about the craft, the road, the good gigs, the horrible gigs, travel, money, failure, success, and all the weird shit that happens when performing for strangers becomes your actual job.
The show grew out of Lenny's pandemic podcast, **Quarantine Comedy**, where live performers talked about surviving a world in which live performance suddenly disappeared. Total Schmidt Show continues that conversation by focusing on the people who are still out there doing it.

I've known Sideshow Bert for around 6-7 years or so. Juggler / Performer / Comedian... he's one of those "Do it all" acts. A seasoned pro who covers all the bases. Juggles, chainsaws, tazers, watermelons, cheeseburgers, and grapes. Some times all at once. Lives in Vegas (Duh), travels the world... been around a while... you know. One of my favorite acts to have on the show. He's also a friend, Haven;t worked with him in years. That happens out here on the ships. Don'e see some people for several years. this (Hawaii crossing) crusie I saw several. Bert was one.
